There are many views on "salespeople". I have been in sales since was eighteen years old. I have been on both sides of sales as a buyer and a seller. What I enjoy about being a Realtor is the satisfaction, excitement and joy homebuyers experience when they finally get the keys to the house they just bought! Some homeowners had no expectation of buying a home simply because they thought it was too expensive to be a homeowner. With tools and education, there they sit at the round table, at the opposite end of the escrow officer signing the closing documents in pure excitement. Closing is complete and now, the wait for the keys! The thank-you's I receive despite the obstacles that we have all overcome are priceless. I am thankful that my clients give me the opportunity to be part of their team. The home buying process is a team effort.
As I mentioned I have been on the buyers side of sales, that includes buying a home. I was young, scared and had no idea where to look first. My salesperson, gave me lots of great information about how the house was built, what kind of insulation the walls had and even the name of the tile company. While all this is important to know, I wanted to know what the heck I was getting myself into for THIRTY years! What if I wanted to sell the house because my family was expanding? Could I? What if I wanted to move to another part of the city, state or out of the state? Could I sell it? What if I just wanted to add a brick wall and replace what was there? Could I? Where are the schools in this neighborhood that my future kids will attend? What are those schools rated? I know I could have asked these questions, but I forgot and didn't know of my salesperson would even answer my questions.
I work very hard to provide my clients with all the information that I think they may be interested in. My clients should be comfortable to ask me about anything and know that I will have the answers or get them the most accurate information. I am a Realtor because it is important to help a family, an individual buy a home. The sun is rising in the morning, the alarm goes off to wake up. A mother wakes her kids up for school, they comb their hair and brush their teeth. Rushing out of the front door, they wave to their parents goodbye and head for the bus down the block. At the end of a long work day, families go home and gather at the dining room table to enjoy dinner . The TV is turned on, bellies full, the kids are working on homework in the living room. All a days work of life, happening in the home that a family chose. Everything from the perfect dining room, the perfect living room, the driveway, the walkway, the bedrooms and the kitchen. My clients trust me to help them. I am thankful for that!
“Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” - Mark Twain
